By James Boatman with staff reportsGILLETTE, WY - Students who get in trouble in the Campbell County School District may be able to choose a form of corporal punishment as one of their alternatives.
Under the policy, the principal, assistant principal or a designated adult could only administer the spanking.
Monday, the board of trustees is scheduled to consider a proposal that would give administrators the authority to spank students as a way to correct unruly behavior. Under the policy, the principal, assistant principal or a designated adult could only administer the spanking. The spanking would be conducted in the presence of another district employee.
