It's Spank-Out Day - (STATEWIDE) -- This is ``Spank-out Day'' across the nation... which is an effort to get parents to realize that there are better ways to discipline their child than by spanking them. Nadine Block with the Ohio Center for Effective Discipline says hitting children can make them more aggressive... and result in them becoming abusive toward their own family later in life. She says schools are getting the message. Block says there were 70-thousand paddlings in Ohio's public schools in 1980... but only about 14-hundred last year. She says only about 50 public schools in the state continue to use corporal punishment.
