One woman is in jail and another free on bail after they were charged with spanking another woman in Carlisle two weeks ago.

Police said that on June 6, Aunye Latetia Stackfield, 19, and Latoya Jean Harris, 22 repeatedly struck a woman on her bare buttocks with a belt.

Harris confronted the 20-year-old victim on North Hanover Street because she was upset that either the woman or her boyfriend owed Harris $80, police said.

Aunye Latetia Stackfield was freed on $15,000 bail. Latoya Jean Harris was unable to post similar bail. They were arraigned Tuesday evening on charges of simple assault.
